The sunstone mining area in the Rabbit Basin would be a great addition to the 'things to do' page. Many thousands of visitors come to Lake county every year to visit the Public Use Area and the fee dig mines. Plush and Lakeview benefit from the activities in the mining area, both from the visitors and the miners. Sunstone is Oregon's official gemstone and Lake Co.is the primary source.The BLM's web site has info regarding the District.
