Guadalcanal Diary

Howdy,

Just curious, did you guys ever come into much contact with or work with the members of Guadalcanal Diary? For some reason I always think of them when I think of the dBs and I don't know of any connection other than my enduring affection for both.

I bought both (of the Rhino handmade) albums last week and am waiting for them to arrive - I'll let you know how they are when I get my 1st listen...

I haven't heard anything since In Thrall from Murray, but then again, they don't have a nifty site like this one to update us.

Guadalcanal Diary's new releases on Rhino Handmade...

I've listened to both BigMan & 2x4 on the new Rhino Handmade editions and I like them both very much. The bonus tracks are almost like getting to hear new GD material. Now if we can just get Murray & the gang to open for the dB's on the upcoming reunion tour ;) Oh, well. A guy can dream, can't he?
