Got a copy of Stamey's Fireworks in today, and had just cracked it when Jimbo called about something. He asked me what I was doing and I told him and like a dumbass asked him if he knew any of Stamey's stuff. I didn't know they were fucking homeboys and shit. I keep thinking of Jimbo as ours but I forget he's spend most of his time up yonder. So now I consider myself a friend once removed of Stamey's. I mean, my friend Karyn did the soundtracks for Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs and I now consider Quentin a friend once removed. Do you think that's ok or is that like delusional and stuff?

In my very humble opinion, I think that anything that makes this world smaller and closer is a good thing. I've always seen the people who enjoyed our music as something more than fans, and I see that fellowship in the fans of Hootie and R.E.M., too. Can anything that pulls us together be that terribly bad?

And Fireworks is a great, great record. Would that It's Alright were reissued... sigh.
