And and if all goes well, Richard will play on "Compared to What" tomorrow night (sunday 2/20) with me at Tonic in NYC. We wish we had a Transonic to blow up again, no such luck.

The dB's actually performed "Compared to What" in a few shows, one memorable one at CBGB's with guest Richard Lloyd smiling at me confidently and proclaming "Yeah, yeah, I know what to do--turn it up!" and then proceeding to blow up Gene's precious Rickenbacker Transsonic amp (trapezoidal head and speaker cab). We loved Swiss Movement by Les McCann and Eddie Harris and got our version from that album.
