We have an old toilet out front--it's called the Hudson River!

I kid the river, because i love the river....

I sometimes work with this wonderful older Manhattanite, Silvi, who does volunteer work with the James Beard Foundation. She once called me after I had been out of the office on a sick day and said (imagine an upper-crust Manhattan accent), "Oh dearie, I heard you have been iiilll..." And I said (imagine someone from deep in Mississippi), "Yeah, Silvi, I had the Creeping Mississippi Delta Crud. Do y'all have the Creeping Crud in New York City?" And she said, "Weeeell, I don't quite think so, but we do have the Hudson River..."
