No one has yet mentioned...

...the most jaw-dropping moment from last night (other than maybe Chris and Peter's harmonies on "I'm In Love" -- Peter's performance last night certainly qualifies as an nominee for Best Vocal Performance By A Guy Without A Working Voice):

late in opening act Roman Candle's energy-laden set, lead singer Skip Matheny punctuated an emphatic chord with a jump, fell on his way down, and landed right on the acoustic guitar he had been playing most of the night, snapping it in two at the base of the neck.

Minutes after he had thanked the dB's for the use of their equipment.

The look on his face (and the rest of the band's) certainly made it seem like that had been a borrowed item as well, and Skip had a sort of sheepish look for the rest of the set, before gingerly carting the corpse off the stage.

Roman Candle sounded great, by the way -- can't wait to hear what Chris did with their music in the studio.

Re: No one has yet mentioned...

He actually mentioned twice, earlier in the set, that it was Chris' guitar and how nice it was of Chris to loan it to him for the set. I agree that Roman Candle sounded great and were a lot of fun. Look forward to their CD when it comes out next year.
