Peter/Doobie Brothers?

I was sitting at home watching The Tube (cable music network) the other night when a live clip of the Doobie Bros.' "What a Fool Believes" flashed on the screen.
There was a long, protracted piano opening, and the player was a bald, mustachioed, glasses-wearing fellow who looked suspiciously like one Mr. Peter Holsapple.
I was prepared to dismiss the possibility of PH playing with los Doobies as preposterous until I remembered that the Hooties often played "Long Train Running" during their encores on the 1996 tour.
So, how about it, Mr. Holsapple: Was that you?

...ahem....

what can I say?

I can assure you that I've never been closer to a Doobie Brothers show than when they were sandwiched between an un-uniformed Raspberries and a past-their-prime Savoy Brown at the Winston-Salem coliseum during high school. Even then, I stayed in my seat and watched my watch til Eric Carmen and co. came on.

dB's stands for decibels, I might remind you...

Re: ...ahem....

I am duly chastened.
A thousand pardons, Mr. Holsapple, I beg of you.

Re: Re: ...ahem....

arise, all is forgiven, silly man

I've been told I look like Bob Weir and Elton John (!)
