I spent 2yrs 1972/4 at 132 Pannal ash road. I remember the tripod/witches hat at the back as well as the hobby hut. The governor was Mr Niven. I lived in several of the properties,most notable,the one on the farthest right,had a huge sailing boat outside. The carers were as i knew them,auntie Pam & uncle Edwin. Very interested in any info whatsoever to bring back the good old memories.

I was really interested to hear comments made by people who used to live at 132 Pannel Ash Road when it was a branch of the NCH - I was taken there as a baby in 1950 and lived at No 6 where Sister Flora took care of me for the first fourteen years of my life. I remember two lovely german girls who had been sent over from Germany during the war. I think one of them was called Hanalore. Mr Roycroft was the principal in the early fifties, followed by Mr Wicks some years later ...... I would love to hear from anyone who lived at the NCH during those years.

hi, great pics from 132, i lived in house number 4, i first went into the big house called wellfield. i remember my time there with fondness(1970-1975). does anyone remember the huge tripod at the back of the houses. it was reduced in height after i fell face first from the apex. my 2 brothers and 2 sisters were also there.if anyone remembers me get in touch, especially peter or stephen
