Elvis Costello or Michael Winslow? You make the call!
Hi, Ladies!
Over the years, one of the biggest drawbacks of this forum has always been the lack of interesting "potty noises" that participants can make with their mouths. This is because such mouth-noise mayhem has always been reserved for Police Academy movies of the 1980s and early 1990s. Sadly, with the demise of the Police Academy series, the art of making mouth-noises has mostly disappeared.
So you can imagine the delight when Sweet Meat and I read in the Tampa newspaper that Michael Winslow, the originator of Police Academy's soundmaking humor, would be appearing at the local Improv. We immediately purchased out tickets, and were enjoying his comic stylings in no time.
Thing is, we forgot that we already had tickets that night to the Elvis Costello show. In fact, it was not until the next morning that we realized that we had missed Costello. Winslow's unique skills had THAT MUCH of a grip on us.
We still ended up seeing two fantastic Costello shows, one local and on in Boca Raton. But somehow I expect that it will be the "Winslow" story that truly stands the test of time. Much appreciation goes to Sweet Meat for being a great friend and generous host, and to Mr. Winslow himself for a night of laughter and noisemaking that made our "Two for the Price of Three" Costello stint an especially memorable one.
To truly convey my deep emotion, I would need to make some crazy noise with my mouth, but because that is not possible here, allow me to simply say "Thank You."

This was one of the scariest things I had read until I read on to see that you did see 2 other Costello shows (whew!):

Too funny... funnier almost than the irrgeular rib bone poking incident and "Return to Blue Lagoon" (poor Mila).
