Susie has been a wee gem(touch wood,lol) yesterday she came to work with me,boss is smitten and did her waterbowl for her and made a comfy bed beside his chair
for her to lie beside him,have the best boss ever and it helps that he loves dogs as he has three of his own(not greys but all Second Chance)who he cant bring into the shop.
Today Susie will be serving!lol!
Another accident free night and another query, what kind of meaty chunks do you recommend?
Phoning the vet in Rosyth today to be registered and for an appointment for spaying,gulp!
Spoke to the lovely Bert last night so Susie should have a coat soon!

We tried various dry, and wet, foods when we first got Bootsie but we have been using James Wellbeloved dry and wet for about 6 months now, and he does well on it. We give him 2 mugs of the James Wellbeloved 'Adult" lamb & rice kibble, with a pouch of either James Wellbeloved 'Adult' lamb & rice or turkey & rice wet food. We then add 2 / 2.5 pouches full of water (helps make sure there's no waste!).

I've read in more than one place that you should try to feed greyhounds food which is at 18% protein level, or less. This is what we've tried to do anyway.

Thank you for that advice,we have been feeding Susie two mugs in morning and two mugs at night of the dry food she was eating in the kennels,still not really eating much at breakfast though but scoffs at night!
We are booked for this Tuesday at Vetrica in Rosyth for her to be spayed,not looking forward to it!!
We are still looking at insurance,Homebase seems the best at £19,48 a month,Petplan was quoting us £32.80!! Is that normal?

We have recently insured Lucy with Animal Friends. Costing nearly £25 a month for Superior Plus. Sounds expensive, but only a wee bit more than I pay for my car insurance and I want to make sure that we had life cover with plenty of cover. Would much rather pay a wee bit more than be under insured and end up paying expensive vets bills.

P.S. We are feeding Lucy Supadog greyhound. Its a dry food and we give her this with a couple of slices of chopped up cooked ham, cheap supermarket stuff and water. Or sometimes mix a tin of sardines in tomato sauce in with the dry food for a change. Her bowl is always licked clean!
Yes, we pay £36.50 for the 'all-singing all dancing' premium cover with Pet Plan! They were so good with our previous pet, that we couldn't see past them.
We won't be at tomorrow's walk, unfortunately, as my Mum is unwell and having a scan at 12:15. Hope you enjoy it :-)
