Re: Bonneville question

When I was a lad in Winston-Salem, I was fascinated by the Bonneville race cars, the long sloping land speed record vehicles with fender skirts even on the front wheels. Monogram made a whole series of them, many of which I glued together then took apart and rebuilt. It always seemed very cool to race cars in a straight line for what seemed like forever on the Bonneville salt flats. Then I decided to write a reggae song about Utah, Bonneville specifically. It didn't end up reggae, but the lyrics basically suggest that there's nothing there in Bonneville, just sand and salt and sun and people racing cars very fast. I personally would like to go there, just in case they're breaking a record that day. Not very exhilirating, but it's my story and I'm stickin' with it...

Re: Re: Bonneville question

I've been to the salt flats, and they do indeed kick ass. Nothing but flat salt.

Now, I just found this site in my umpteenth attempt to score a cd of The Sound of Music. I need that record. I can still sing the whole thing in the shower, but 20 years after my former girlfreind stole it (and denied it), that's getting a bit old and increasingly out of key.

So, what's the deal? Where can I find a copy, new, used or reprinted by aliens? Doesn't matter to me...
