I'm playing in NYC this Sunday, May 7, at Tonic, with Jody Harris

I'm playing this Sunday night at Tonic, on Norfolk St. above Delancy, in Manhattan, doing some "greatest hits" (well, some older songs) and some brand new ones, including some that Peter and I recorded this week (!) as we started our new duo record ( a separated project from the on-going dBs record).

Also on the bill is our old friend Jody Harris (who was in the Raybeats as well as the Golden Palominos). I'm very excited to hear his new songs.

Playing with me will be Tyson Rogers, Lydia Kavanagh, and Dave Schramm.

AND: Tyson's excellent trio the Blueprint Project are playing, too, they got 4 stars in Downbeat last year and were picked as one of the best records of the year.

Keegan DeWitt, who has just made a smashing (unreleased) record with Roman Candle, is joining us at the start of the evening.

Re: I'm playing in NYC this Sunday, May 7, at Tonic, with Jody Harris

Oh, I would have loved to have seen this. Great line up--Any possible way to get some advanced notice about these kinds of (especially and selfhishly for me) NYC gigs? With lots of kids and family and jobs, etc., it's a lot harder for me and my wife to make it to these on short notice. Big Jodie Harris fans, too. 20 years ago this would have been a no brainer to dump everything to show up at the last minute to see the show, but we're all getting older and life is more complicated. Hope it goes well and Chris, please let us know next time you'll be in town. Caought you, you and Peter and you and dB's several times in the past year, but this looks like a lot of fun.
