NOMRF, a grass-roots group founded by displaced New Orleaneans Jeff and Karen Beninato, has renovated an apartment to house musicians returning for gigs. Royal Street is no longer a pedestrian mall so many street musicians have lost their only source of income. We give them grants when we can find them. NOMRF has also given thousands of dollars to musicians recommended by the Tipitina's Foundation.

Recentlly NOMRF brought the Gulf Coast band Tree Logic to entertain Americorps in Waveland, the first concert there since the city was devastated by Katrina.
