Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

It seems like only trouble can follow the words "with all due respect...."! I think I can speak for most of us when I say there is no rush, and no need to apologize for any kind of wait. We've gotten a fabulous new song, a souful cover for the best of causes, live shows in two major metropolitan areas, and, my gosh, personal responses to all our silly questions. It's already been like a dream for dB's fans. Thanks so much Peter, Chris, Will, Gene, Jeff, Jake--everybody.

Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Amen! I'm just glad you guys are still friends, still talking to each other, much less actually still making music together! No rush from this quarter...

Cheers, Tim

Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Yes, i have to "Amen" Tim's "Amen" to Jack's remarks - Jack said it all.

Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Yep, take y'all's time. We know you want to get it right, no need to hurry. And, it's a very good thing that you are each so busy that it's hard to make time to get together. Consider the alternatives . . . .

Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Jack speaks for me too. I never even expected the 2005 reunion shows to begin with -- what a gift that was. I can wait.

Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Thanks for your candor, Peter. I certainly wasn't trying to rush you along. (For what it's worth, I'm delighted to hear the project is still on the rails!)

Time takes time, as they say...

Yours,

Lord Krom

Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

No problem. Thanks all for your support. We will have you an album that's worthy of being a dB's tome, no matter what it takes.

Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Any chance that one or more of you can fit in an appearance at this year's Sparklefest in late September? I saw Chris there a couple of year's ago. I believe Caitlyn Cary joined him on the stage to sing harmony on the encore.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Man! I'll second that. I'm sure Mike Nicholson would love to have you.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

I guess before we start asking about particular gigs/dates, we might want to check the Hootie site for their tour dates. We'll learn pretty quickly when Peter has conflicts. I suspect we could do the same with Steve Earle's site (assuming Will is still touring as part of the Dukes, and boy, does he drive that band!).

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Actually, I think Steve is doing most of the summer acoustic solo. Will has been playing with Alison Moorer as well, but no one's sure what that'll amount to in terms of time on the road.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: with all due respect, fellas ...

Actually, I was hoping for any of the four individually or in any combination at Sparklefest. I think it is scheduled for September 28 - 30.
