One of the finest moments for The dB's was backing up Bobby "Boris" Pickett at Max's Kansas City during the Max's Pop Festival. He sang, in his words, "a medley of my hit" with us churning away behind him. Will's girlfriend at the time was in a play with Bobby, and she got him together with us. The biggest revelation was that the background vocals go "tennis shoe-wah-oooh", a bit of information that resurfaces at incredibly inappropriate times. I feel like the keeper of an important secret.
