'Mavericks' Collector's Choice edition is pure bliss!

Hello all. I received my copy of the remastered Collector's Choice edition of Peter and Chris' "Mavericks" today in the mail. After a few listens, I must say they did a wonderful job on this package. First and foremost, the sound is better. As with most reissues these days, they really sound great - like it did comin' out of the studio speakers I suppose. Man, I completely fell in love when this when it came out back in the early nineties. And the bonus tracks are wonderful! "Hollywood Waltz" is lovely. Peter sings this country pop tune very well while rhyming a certain word with "waltz". And Peter's written some good waltz tunes!

It's cool to hear the original demo of "Angels" and the other interpretations of these classic tunes. The "I Knew You Would" is some great guitar work too. Is that Chris?

So congrats again guys. This thing sounds pristine and remains a true classic!!

Kudos to Collector's choice too.

Cheers,
Spencer

Re: 'Mavericks' Collector's Choice edition is pure bliss!

Let me add myself to the chorus of praising voices.
My copy of "Mavericks" arrived in the mail the other day, and it's been on constant play on my iPod ever since.
This has always been one of my favorite records, and to hear it now with the additional tracks is just terrific.
I'm particularly enjoying the demo version of "Angels," because it's always so neat to hear a song go from its rough to finished version.
And, I finally know what Peter's been singing in the opening line.
It's "Keep ONE EYE OUT for Angels," not "You've RUN OUT for Angels," as I've thought for the last 15 years.

Yeah, the demo of "Angels" cleared things up for me too. Except the "hoof" part?

"Hollywood Waltz" is just a terrific track - 2 thumbs up here!
