Your friend, who's name escapes me, owned a club in NJ. He married Cheryl. They came into Chicago a few years after we all graduated and we all went to see Sleepy LaBeef at Fitzgerald's.

I get to NY a bit for work. I really should look Cheryl up the next time I'm out that way.

After you (and Dave) left town I began promoting. Mostly SST and Slash record artists. The Minutemen, Black Flag, Meat Puppets, Husker Du, Violent Femes, etc. It was a lot of fun but nothing quite like the Wipe Me Mommy weekend.

So sorry to hear about Gilbert.

I had an opportunity to spend time and correspond with D. Boone of the Minutemen until he passed. He'll always stand out to me as being a very caring person and having great character. Your concern for Dave that day makes me think you have that in common. I wish I would have stayed in touch.

I have the Dave 45. It would be awesome if I could procure a digital version. No pressure. Not why I reached out. I also saw somewhere that Yo La Tengo covered it at one of their Hannukah shows. Hysterical! Wish I had seen it.
