Fleshtones

Hello Peter,

Just curious, were you ever a fan of the Fleshtones. I just broke out my 45 of American Beat/Hall of Fame. Hope all is well.

Oh yes, the 'tones were our friends and neighbors at the Music Building in midtown Manhattan. Chris produced some sessions for them for Red Star, I think. The first dB's gig I ever did was supporting them at Irving Plaza in October of 1978. Truly a rock and roll institution, like NRBQ; the Fleshtones will always be Roman Gods. (RIP Gordon)

They are great! In the early to late '80s, I must have seen them around 50 times....

I just read that Gordon Spaeth is no longer with us.
That is bad news.When did he pass away2
I always liked this band as well.Roman Gods and Hexbreaker were my faves.
