Otis Gibbs

We saw the Bottle Rockets last Saturday, they kicked ass as usual. Otis Gibbs opened, the second time we have seen him. Otis is a real character, a wild & wooly folk-singin' social commentator and agitator. He takes some fine photos during his travels as well. I bought his newest CD, Grandpa Walked A Picket Line, an excellent effort with strong songs and much better production than his earlier releases.
In fact, the album was produced by Chris Stamey with Don Dixon on bass, Will Rigby on drums and veteran Al Perkins on pedal steel and dobro.
Nice job, guys!

Re: Otis Gibbs

I saw Otis at a house concert back in January. Wonderful music. The latest CD produced by Chris is excellent.
