Hi, I manage a 14th century living history site, based on the South Cadbury location. In researching the village tenants, I found a few records which should be of interest to you. 1. A court roll dated 12 July 1365 orders the advowson of South Cadbury to be delivered to Thomas Peverell and Margaret \'his wife\'. 2. A Somerset Fine dated 26 Nov 1376 confirms Thomas \"and Margaret his wife\" in the manor of Southcadbury . . . So it seems that they were definitely married before 1365 - just thought you would like to know. :-) 3. Also, Margaret had two bothers, Thomas (Jr.) and Hugh who both, after their father\'s death, died in the kings wardship before they came of age. All the best, Roger |

Wonderful site! I have recently been accepted into the Order of the Crown of Charlemagne through gateway ancestor Ann Lloyd wife of Theophilus Eaton, first governor of New Haven Colony, CT. Her father was George Lloyd , Bishop of Chester. His mother was Ann Conwy(Conway) and so on. Ann's 14thgreat-grandfather was King John through his illegitimate daughter Joan who married, as his 2nd wife, Llewelyn "Fawr"(the Great) ap Griffith. Joan was legitimized about 1220 by the Pope on grounds that her father (Prince John at time of her birth in 1191/2) and her mother (unk) were neither one betrothed/married at time of Joan's conception. Have been pulling up different surnames in this pedigree and one line branches off from this same pedigree in 1400s and follows back again to Henry I through his illegitimate son Robert de Caen (mother unk). This is a proven line for organization " the Illegitimate Sons and Daughters of the Kings of Britain" otherwise known as "The Royal *******s". One of my lines, in this same pedigree, Robert Puleston of Emral" traces back to William Peverel the Elder. Found a wonderful site through Google that is titled "Fabulous Pedigrees" by William Penrose. Of course, a lot of lines are through females so I was jumping around a lot. Again, I would like to commend you on a very interesting and informative site. Have read lately about pros and cons concerning parentage of William "the elder" Peverel so your information was quite enlightening. Thank you for sharing! Linda in Huntsville, Alabama (Yes, there is "royal blood" in the Bible Belt even though we don't have all that gold and silver!) |

I am a direct male line descendant of Lord Rhirid Flaidd, having a solid paper trail, recognized pedigrees as well as DNA matches pointing to a MRCA (Most recent common ancestor) c. 1300 in north Wales. If I may be of help for other researchers please contact me |

Great website If I were to use some history from your website what proof that it is true history? Just that people don't take my word on somethings and what can I say or do totell them that this is right. hankyou michael Drynan |

I certainly would prefer to be related to this early Pavey progenitor than many others! Any word on when these did turn into a "Pavey" branch and when they came to North America? |
