Just showed some guys at work in Vancouver my comp video and they were well impressed. I am defo missing training now. There is a place called flip city down the road that does gymnastics. So i am going to check that out next week.
Hows the club going? I know it won't be the same without me.
Heya Ben, ive just got back from Malta and loved it. Hope you're settling in well, to be honest class wasnt same without you. Love the pics, will save them and put them on the site :). Good luck with flip city keep us informed!
I hate to be the one to say it but the class wasn't the same without you Ben, it was SOOOOO much better
only kidding, it has lacked some enthusiasm and energy without you but we're thinking of allowing one excitable 8yr old to fill that gap and then also we dont lose out on the easy person to beat up in class that we had in you also, so problem will be sorted soon
Good luck with you're new leotard in your new dance class, we'll look out for your skills upon your return.
Seriously tho Ben, I hope you're liking it out there, sounds like you're settling in well. Take it easy bro.
I was gutted to have missed you but glad I caught you at the aerodrome at least. Great to hear you're showin them what the Omni definition of kickin ass is
I hope to be back at training soon so will kick everyone's asses (except Sandra's - ) for you.
Great footage from the tournament, but no Karate Kid spoofage - dudes!!! What happened?!!
Hope you're all grand.
Missin you and hope to see you soon.
The time has finally come to usher in a new era as Alex Tater and I reach our 30th year on this planet, and to see in this new age of cardigan wearing and pipe smoking, we am trying to get a few people together for a day out. A 1920's,
lawn games picnic is being hosted by a bar called Bourne and Hollingsworth at Fitzroy Square in the West End (http://www.panoramicearth.com/122/London/Fitzroy_Square).
It starts at 4pm on Saturday 22nd August and will comprise of croquet tournament, live bands, hog roast, cake stall, cocktails and coconut shy. I've yet to receive details on how to buy tickets, but as soon as I find out, we'll let you know. This is a bit of a heads up so people can
write this down in their diaries in big bold letters.
Tara and I recently attended The Chap Olympics at Bedford Gardens in July and the vibe there was fantastic. Here are some links to pics of the event,
so as to get a feel for what is to come.

I'm sure it'll be spiffingly fun day to come along to. I hope you all can make it.
I'll be supplying some picnicy bits. Alcohol will probably not be allowed in, as they'll have a bar on site, but i think we'll probably be able to sneak some through the fence round the square.
Please let us know if you are able to come along and like I said, I'll get back to you with more info on ticket purchase.

P.S. The dress code is 20's summer attire, but I think you'll be able to get away with anything
between 1920's-1950's.
Hi guys,
Plans have changed a bit with regard to the 22nd August. The lawn games have been cancelled so Alex and I just want to plan a regular picnic
at Hyde Park. We were thinking of starting it at 12pm and i'll be bringing some various ball games with us. If anybody wants to bring there own,
that would be great. We'll be coming up with a plan B if it rains.
On a separate note, there are a few of us going for drinks on tuesday 11th August (that's my birthday) in Soho. We'll be out at 6pm and will finish up at 8.
It would be great to see you there if you can make it.
See you soon,
Its CRAZY that good old Tater is back and I am away. I miss him so but I am a lot better at this whole OMA forum thing than him right!? So it seems that I am not that far away. Its a shame to miss the fun but maybe you guys could come over and do it here? (or just come over). There is loads of space at my new pad, I have a sea view, a balcony, and the building has a swimming pool. fully furnished including bills 641 GBP.
They LOVE UFC over here, all the bar play it like 90% of the time. Makes me really want to train. The place for gymnastics is too far away so I am planning on joining a gym and maybe do some MMA. (So I am not too far behind.)
Doesn't look like I will be coming back anytime soon. I will come back to visit (hopefully) but after a 1-3 years here. I am going to Japan for min 6 months.
Miss you guys but I am sure not much would have changed when I come back. Tell you what if some of you losers get you **** out here asap. You won't miss me at all.
Tony and James' Birthday celebration this weekend...
Hi all, Tony and I are having a joint bday this weekend and would be happy if you fancied coming along. Details are not complete yet but just wanted to give notice early. We are aiming for saturday chill out in a park (maybe near my new house with sandra) but we will sort this out and try to get the details out tomo. Be good if some of you could make it, speak soon! J
PS sorry ben thought no one was after edit after i put out the full versions, all my spare time has gone into getting the house but will start on that again in a couple of weeks and finish it when all calms down. hope all is good out there!
Cheers for comp link Mike will talk to you about that next training sesh.
So to follow up bday details, we have decided to go ahead to the Ruislip Lido at 1pm this coming saturday. There is a nice bar by the lake where we can get a roast dinner and there is also grass and man-made beach for playing some frizbee and ball games. Fingers crossed on the weather, and in the evening we will probabaly head off for some ten pin bowling and pool, and feel to drop in and leave if and when you can make it.
I believe if you are not driving the best tube station is Ruislip on Metropolitan and Piccidilly lines and then a walk or bus ride from there. I have put a couple of pics and a map on a hidden page on my other website:
http://www.jamesdfleming.com/lido_43.html
Look forward to seeing whoever can make it, and partners etc welcome (just let know so we have an idea of numbers).
Just watching some vids of our fights and was really missing it. I went to gymnastics for the first time and it was great fun and one hell of a work out. I have never ached that much for a whole 5 days. I did the old nearly throwing up trick.
I did a back flip tony buuut it was on like a wedge shape pad so it was kinda cheating. It really is a lot easier than the front one.
I think I will need to go to physiotherapy for my hip I can still feel the **** thing sometimes.
I have like zero time for the next month or so it looks like I won't have time to do any fighting or jumping around for a while. I went on set for Sucker Punch but am so busy that someone else had to go in my place the last few times.
anywho peace out mo fo's
p.s. ski season just started here so i think i will spend any spare time i do have snowboarding.
oooo new website. Very Nice. I want to see a new vid of how you guys have got on. I am going to take my OMA badge with me on the mountains and get some more around the world pics. I really need a couple more badges to attached to bags etc..
Hey Ben, its still a work in progress but glad you like it! As for the comp vid promise I havent forgotten, have a list of more urgent things waiting in line before it thats all. If you email me your home address by using the email address on here I can get some extra badges out to you. For anyone interested they are £2.50 each and should go on any plain black clothes bags etc. Hope your still having fun out there and look forward to the new photos, J
yeah would be nice to have a festive get together or night out? I am away from training until after christmas now with one thing or another so hopefully we can arrange something sometime?
I have been so slack for a long time, sorry.
or maybe for new year, I might be having a fancy dress house party at mine for new year so if anyone is interested let me know. Details to follow.
Remember we went to that Seni Expo? Well I don't think I ever posted the vid of the dudes flash kicking. Well here it is )I just completely forgot i uploaded it)
Hope everyone is well.
I'm living in Innsbruck now and started training at a small underground mma gym.
Looks good so far and feels good to be training again.
Here's a small video of them:
James has just called me to say that he's unexpectedly having to rush off to take care of some family matters this weekend, so unfortunately training is *off* tonight! (Just in case you were actually planning to come.) Sorry for the late notice and Happy New Year.
Merry chrimbo & Happy New year to you all. Hope you all had a good one and I look forward seeing you all in the coming sessions. Especially as I seem to have missed alot of you at training one way or the other.
That guy had like no guard at all!
I went to a brazilian jujitsu class on saturday and the guys are really cool. They are all really really good but just friends practising and they do a small amount of stand up (which i beat them at :)) I want to do more kicking but my hip still hurts though so I am going to go to psychotherapy
Hehe to Mike, he was just trying to do a reverse turning but fell, technically its not allowed if he touches floor first but here seems to land it first. Touching floor is seen as an 'unbalance' and will lose him points after first warning.
To Ben, nice to hear doing BJJ, yeah go check hip out, although do you mean a physiotherapist? :)
OMG I have SOOOO much respect for this woman!! But you guys are gonna need to have some sort of surgery to do this kick, no? Yeah yeah, I know I'm an expert at the Eating Pizza Kick but what the hell )
Guys, this is one of those typical fail videos with clips ranging from the inevitable (0:18) to the completely inexplicable (1:03). But take a look at 1:39 for some TKD crime-fighting!
M
Couldn't work out how to embed without it auto-playing - sorry!
Love it, gotta get this sound track and the kickboxer one too. That reminds me, Ben is there some way I can hold of those oriental tracks you used to play in our class? Drop me a mail when you can... thanks, J
Maybe the best movie fight scene ever. Notice how they're so tough, they don't even have to bother blocking punches and kicks! Although having their clothes torn seems to cause some pain. And of course there's that unforgettable quip at the end. Harrrgh! Grarrr!
And on a more serious note: Liddell vs Ortiz II. See how Chuck completely neutralises Tito's takedowns, and then Tito has no effective attack left. Chuck seems to have incredible reach with his punches and is able to hit accurately from weird angles.
